The Teller County Sheriffs Office has become aware of a new phone scam. The scammer is calling and identifying themselves as one of our supervisors (by name) and is requesting money to be sent via credit card.

Teller County, CO – A bat has tested positive for rabies in Woodland Park, Colorado according to Teller County Public Health & Environment. A property owner found the bat lying on a deck in the late afternoon and reported it to authorities. The bat was taken to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Laboratory and on August 20, 2019, it tested positive for rabies. There are no known human exposures.

Teller County, CO, On August 1, 2019, at approximately 8:00 AM, deputies from the Teller County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Cripple Creek Police Department attached to the Teller County Narcotics Team (TNT) executed a search warrant at 116 Pikes Peak Ave in the city limits of Cripple Creek.
